I’ve noticed that most plants sold in stores don’t resemble those you find in nature. Several of my plants are sourced directly from nature, making them a bit harder to manage than store-bought varieties.

One aspect that’s harder to manage is humidity. Most of the plants I have are succulents, which do just fine with low humidity. I have a small tree and a mystery plant that I grew from a seed I found on the beach. Each of these has more strict humidity requirements. I need to water them more regularly than the succulents.

This week, I saw a video about building a tiny greenhouse to control humidity and temperature for plants. However, I don’t want to take up more space in my apartment at this time. Currently, most of my plants are on a single windowsill, and setting this up would require some reorganization in this room.

Perhaps I’ll attempt this in the future and write a post about the experience.
