Plants: Cheap Trees
Today, I really wanted to buy a tree that was a bit more mature than the one I posted in the previous post. I wanted to do so to practice some pre-bonsai techniques on it. Obviously, the tree I posted in my last blog post will not be mature enough to apply such techniques for several years.
Luckily, I found there were some really cheap trees for sale there. I chose one that had kind of the shape that I was looking for, brought it home and pruned it up. I might apply some wire to the branches and re-pot it, but I decided to prune it tonight. The tree I got was a purple leaf sand cherry. It was on clearance for 90% off. It had practically no foliage left, since it is fall, which made it perfect for pruning up.
