About a month ago, I found a tree that was hopelessly growing through the cracks in the edge of a parking lot. Instead of letting it become lawnmower fodder, I decided to rescue it and take it home with me.

While there was a chance that it would somehow beat the odds and become a full-grown tree or a stunted shrub growing in its previous location, I thought I would like to learn what it takes to keep this tree growing and happy. I’m happy to report that not only did it survive the rescue mission, but the tree has been doing well growing in my home. Below I’ll share a one-month update on its growth.
